- Teacher discounts on supplies. Craft and office-supply stores often run educator programs.
- Healthcare worker discounts. Some apparel, shoe, and phone carriers offer nurse and medical discounts.
- Phone carrier plans. Major US carriers have offered discounted plans for military, veterans, first responders, and seniors 55+.
- Senior discounts. Some retailers, restaurants, and services offer age-based discounts; asking at checkout is often the only way to find out.

- Scroll to the store's footer and look for "Discounts," "Programs," or "Military / Student."
- Search "[brand] student discount" or "[brand] military discount."
- Ask customer service. Some discounts are applied only in store.
